Insurance
It is important to note that we are not insurance brokers and we cannot sell you insurance. What we can do, however, is advise you on suggested suppliers in a field where the very word ‘marine’ brings a sparkle of $$$ signs into the eyes of some brokers, and where clients are often quoted far more than the accepted rate for what turns out to be an inferior product when the dreaded moment of a claim arrives. Our advice is available, we offer the best advice and best deal, but you must make the decision and sign up for the proposal of your choice.
Finance
There are numerous financial institutions that offer finance to purchase anything from homes to vehicles or just plain cash loans. Many will offer loans in the marine field, but some will be keener than others, resulting in a wide disparity in deposit requirements, loan periods and interest rates, usually to the borrower’s disadvantage. We submit customer applications regularly and have a feel for which finance houses are considering ‘marine’ in a positive light at any particular time, and we also have our own reputation with them (as a reputable supplier without numerous ‘come-backs’ and complaints) which is to your distinct advantage when your application is considered. As with insurance, in the end the decision is yours, but once the application has been approved you may be required to sign the Agreement ‘on-line’, in the presence of a representative of the finance house or with one of our authorised representatives. All in all, the procedure is similar to the purchase of a motor vehicle, but easier with the best advice and best deal, best from Leisure Marine.
